My go to cart for beach / water layouts is Life's a Beach, always one of my favorites. I will never forget this day as we finally made it to our beach at the Sheraton in Cesme, got organized, got cold drinks, fussed with sunscreen and finally the boys got in the water.
Not even ten minutes later Alex came running out, crying that something hurts and stings, and nothing made him better. After a few minutes when he started saying he is nauseous and has a headache we grabbed him and took him to the doctor's office (which we knew since a few years ago Eric got stung by a bee and had to go there...)
Luckily the doctor was on the way for another little girl; the nurse put on some cream and we all figured it must have been the one lonely miserable jellyfish that found its way into his shorts.
Once the doctor came he got a shot ready, told Alex it was just going to be a "stinging" cream and in it went. Later Alex accused me for not warning him it was going to be a shot but in truth he barely felt it. Me, being a chicken, had gone outside the office and Eric and Claire stayed with him.
Soon enough we were back on the beach and later had lunch on the patio, but my heart was not in it anymore and I soon left, but Alex was recovered enough he stayed for a few more hours with his dad. Not in the sea though - he figure he'd had enough. They just went in the pools...
